Muse, Kasabian, Lionel Richie and many more for Isle of Wight Festival 2022

Following a truly triumphant cinch presents the Isle of Wight Festival earlier this month, organisers have today announced the first wave of artists for 2022 including all five Main Stage headliners!

Bona fide music legend Lionel Richie will co-headline the Friday night (17th June) alongside Scottish singing sensation Lewis Capaldi.

On the Saturday night (18th June), Leicester’s prodigal sons Kasabian will top the bill alongside Pete Tong & the Heritage Orchestra presents Ibiza Classics conducted by Jules Buckley.

Charged with bringing Isle of Wight Festival 2022 to an emphatic close on the Sunday night (19th June) are Muse, whose last headline slot at IOW 15 years ago is still spoken about in revered tones to this day.

The other acts confirmed today are Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Blossoms, The Coral, The Vaccines, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, Happy Mondays, Mavis Staples, UB40 ft Ali Campbell & Astro, The Proclaimers, Tom Grennan, Rudimental, Sigrid, Craig David Presents TS5 and Shaggy.

Isle of Wight Festival head honcho John Giddings says: We couldn’t have asked for a better return to the island this year: we had sunshine all weekend and some fantastic performances.

“We’re already looking ahead to next year and the artists announced today can’t wait to come and entertain us over Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th June 2022.”

Tickets for the cinch presents the Isle of Wight Festival 2022 go on sale at 8am on Thursday 30th September from Absolute Radio Tickets.
